Brief History of Gateshead Consecration Spiritualist Church
Established Aprox in 1912
The church was first established at the above date above Dodds butchers shop on Coatworth Road Gateshead in 1912, as the congregation grew the church then moved to Gladstone Terrace West Gateshead in 1935 where its present location is to this day. the Spiritualist Church was built over one year from 1934 and opened in 1935. over the years sadly two other spiritualist churches in Gateshead closed these being Catherine terrace, the land repossest by the local county council & Felling church, where some of the members joined gateshead Consecration spiritualist Church.
Gateshead Consecration SNU Church is the only "Consecrated" church within the spiritualist National union, due to the church being built on consecrated Land which at that time belonged to Christ Church, Gladstone Terrace, in Gateshead.

Our church attendances range in ages from family attendance with children to disabled and ages 16 +, we also hold a Spiritual Healing Service on a Wednesday evening 8.30pm to 9pm which is a form of complementary therapy, this service is attended by members of the public who need help our spiritual healers are fully trained over a two year period & are registered with the SNU Spiritual Healing Committee at Otley Yorkshire and the UK healing orginisation.
Our church committee consists of 4 Officers (President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary) and 6 ordinary members totaling 10 this is a voluntary position which is unpaid,and the church is affiliated to the Spiritualist National Union.
